More than two dozen train enthusiasts
gather this Saturday May 26 in a
Provençal countryside in
Spring time, in a Green Provence with not only green vineyards but also
filled with blossom everywhere, dominated by red and yellow, and under
blue skies and a brilliant sun.
The ATTCV association has this day put the major part of its railway museum on the move on the Carnoules –
Brignoles tracks.
There are four
different trains on the line during the whole day, three passenger
trains and one goods train: (1) railcar Caravelle X-4590; (2) railcar
Caravelle X-4567 with Picasso X-3076 as trailer; (3) diesel
locomotive BB-63812 with three passenger carriages; (4) diesel
engine Y-6424 with two goods wagons, a tank wagon and a flat goods
wagon.
There were in total ten “photo stops”
along the line. At each stop the trains “paraded” in front of the enthusiasts allowing them to take photos. Between the stops, the enthusiasts
variably rode on Caravelle X-4590 or the Picasso. At the train depot
in Besse-sur-Issole and at Brignoles station, they could take nice pictures
of the rather complex switching operations.
