José Banaudo has published three very interesting books (in French!), detailed and with a large number of illustrations, within the framwork of the GECP.

The first book describes the two railway lines from Nice:
  • Nice to Digne-les-Bains, still in operation
  • Nice to Meyrargues, via Grasse and Draguignan, closed in a few years after the end of WW2

The second book addresses the railway line between St Raphaël and Toulon, with connection to St Tropez and Cogolin.

The third book treats the tram lines in valleys of the department of Alpes Maritimes, with connection to Train des Pignes.

A further book gives an overview presentation of the railway lines that have existed in the PACA region.

These and other books can usually be bought on the Train des Pignes steam train.
